So I decided some lovely fingerless mitts would be the way to go!
Mitts before sewing |
Basically I knit a rectangle of the right size and then sew up the seam leaving a gap for my thumb to pop though.
This is nice chunky wool so I decided to go with a K1P1 rib throughout.

So effective ... so simple! Love the wool too!
ReplyDeleteAnd warm as well :)
Deleteand pretty too!
ReplyDeleteCheers!
DeleteNice one~!
ReplyDeleteand i like the idea that nothing should be bought unless there is a project for it, i have loads of craft materials at home but didn't touch on them, guess it's time to do something about them :D
I'm trying my best and I think it might be working. I haven't bought much recently and have used a few things up too!
DeleteVery lovely and beautiful with many colours
ReplyDeleteI tend to shop that same way. Create a plan then go find the materials for it. I've been wanting to knit a hat for each of my kids. I FINALLY started my project and I've now realized it's way to big. I love to see other peoples knitting projects. I'm still a beginner.

I've been doing it the opposite way around. I find some pretty and don't buy it unless I can think of a plan for it there and then. I do like my impulse bargains :)
DeleteOh I love that idea. So simple. I think I'll try it!
ReplyDeleteReally quick to make. And warm too!
