I do like the occasional blog challenge now and again so jumped at the chance of joining in the "Operation Tackle that Bead Stash" for January.
We're kicking the new year off with a theme and we'd like you to create something INSPIRED BY A SONG.
After some inspiration from Facebook, and a look at my stash, I decided on an old music hall favourite written in 1907 by John A. Glover-Kind and made famous by music hall singer Mark Sheridan who first recorded it in 1909.
Oh! I do like to be beside the seaside
I do like to be beside the sea!
I do like to stroll along the Prom, Prom, Prom!
Where the brass bands play:
"Tiddely-om-pom-pom!"
So just let me be beside the seaside
I'll be beside myself with glee
And there's lots of girls beside,
I should like to be beside
Beside the seaside!
Beside the sea!
I can't enter this in the competition as it was a UFO but it did inspire me to finish the piece so the challenge did it's job for me.
The picture in the centre is from a tourist brochure from when we went to Ireland for the Solstice last year and it is just a picture of a perfect seaside for me.
